Night receptionists for winter season 26/27
Do your best hours start just as most people are calling it a night?
We are looking for night receptionists for the winter season 2026–2027.
Reception is the heart of the hotel – even at night. In this role, you ensure that the night runs smoothly and calmly, while also preparing everything so the next day starts in an organized and seamless way.
What your workday looks like
Your shifts are mainly between 23:00–07:00 (exact hours may vary slightly depending on the location).
Start of the shift – getting up to speed
You arrive while the hotel bar is still open and go through the day’s updates and any ongoing matters with the evening shift.
At the beginning of your shift, you’ll often interact with guests. They may ask about the next morning’s activity schedules or how warmly they should dress. This is also a good moment to share any updates on northern lights sightings.
Once the bar closes and the restaurant team finishes, you take care of closing procedures and move into the night routine.
Night – calm surroundings, steady workflow
During the night, you work independently in a peaceful environment. There’s a steady flow of tasks, so the shift stays engaging and structured.
Your tasks may include:
Preparing materials for next day’s arrivals
Coding key cards
Answering emails
Ensuring common areas are clean and ready, especially for breakfast
Morning – the hotel wakes up
You’re not alone all night – housekeeping and kitchen teams start their day early in the morning.
As your shift comes to an end, you assist the breakfast chef with setting up the breakfast and lighting candles on the tables. By the time the first guests arrive for breakfast, your workday is complete.
A role that matters
As a night receptionist, you provide a sense of security.
Guests can rest easy knowing someone is always present. If something unexpected happens, help is close at hand. Most situations are small but require quick and practical action – the most common being a lost or non-working key card.
What the job includes
Handling reception night shifts
Customer service in person, by phone, and online
Ensuring a calm and safe environment throughout the night
Preparing for the next day
Working independently
What we expect from you
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Calm and responsible approach to work
Good situational awareness and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills

Previous experience in reception or customer service is an advantage.
At the beginning of your employment, you will complete a short training period in day shifts to ensure you are well prepared for night work.
What you get from this experience
Working in Lapland is more than just a job.

After your shift, you can step straight into nature:
Cross-country skiing tracks, snowshoeing, and winter biking routes are nearby
Silence and landscapes help you recover from a busy workday
Northern lights – something you never quite get used to
We also offer Wilderness Hotels employee benefits, which support your free time and activities.
Staff accommodation is available if needed.
Apartments are clean and fully equipped – in practice, you only need to bring your toothbrush and warm clothes.
